Weiner seeks a political comeback with NYC mayoral bid

After months of speculation and nearly two years after he resigned from Congress because of a sexting scandal - New York's disgraced Congressman Anthony Weiner has announced he's running for New York City's mayor.

He announced his candidacy with a two-minute online ad.

"I've made some big mistakes, I know I let a lot of people down, but I've also learned some tough lessons, I'm running for mayor because I've been fighting for the middle class my entire life, and I hope I get a second chance to work for you." Weiner said.

But are voters ready to give Weiner a second chance?

The Moore, Oklahoma community continues to recover from Monday's devastating tornado that killed 24 people, including 10 children.

Oklahoma City Mayor Glenn Lewis said today 12,000 to 13,000 homes were damaged or destroyed by tornado.

The Department of Emergency Management spokesman Jerry Lojka said Tuesday some 10,000 people were directly impacted by the tornado.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano visited the disaster area Wednesday, saying at press conference: "On behalf of President Obama and behalf of FEMA, we will be here to stay until this recovery is complete."

Questions about aid have come to the forefront with Sen. Tom Coburn confirming he would want to offset any relief money with cuts to other parts of the budget.

Rescue dogs help search for Oklahoma tornado survivors

Oklahoma officials tells CNN that more than 100 people have been pulled alive from the rubble left by the tornado. Many of them found by rescue dogs, specially trained to sniff out any sign of life.
